Confidentiality and discretion are essential to us, especially at such a delicate time. This policy explains how Heaven Memorial collects and processes your personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

We collect only the data needed to provide the funeral services you request and to respond to your enquiries. This may include:

  • Contact details: the name and phone number you give us when you call, message us on WhatsApp or complete a form.
  • Request details: the service you need and the information you choose to share so we can help (e.g. the town or country).
  • Communications content: messages sent by phone, WhatsApp or form.
  • Technical data: information collected automatically when visiting the site (e.g. IP address and browsing data), within the limits permitted by law.

Please share only what is strictly necessary. If you give us data about a deceased person or other family members, please make sure you are entitled to provide it.

3. Why we process it

  • to respond to your requests and provide information about services;
  • to organise and deliver the agreed funeral services;
  • to carry out the formalities and legal obligations related to the services;
  • to contact you regarding your request.

4. Legal basis

  • Your consent, when you contact us or complete a form (Art. 6(1)(a));
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, to provide the services you request (Art. 6(1)(b));
  • Compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject (Art. 6(1)(c));
  • Our legitimate interest in answering requests and improving our services (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We disclose it only where necessary to deliver the services or to comply with the law, for example to public authorities and institutions involved in formalities, and to providers who strictly support the operation of the site and our communications, under a duty of confidentiality.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for the duration of our relationship and thereafter for the periods required by legal obligations (e.g. accounting and tax). After those periods, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

As a data subject, under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase data (the “right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict processing;
  • data portability;
  • object to processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
